Google’s Boilerplate Web Starter Kit and Web Designing Services

Google – the most popular search engine of the contemporary age – has been providing crucial help to the fraternity of web design and development services, since a long time. It has been providing web developers with an extensive set of guidelines that according to the search engine, is ideal for web designing. However, in a recent move, Google is all set to launch a Web Starter Kit – somewhat, similar to the HTML5 Boilerplate – to further extend its periphery of support.
Google’s Boilerplate Web Starter Kit

This piece of information is bound to make the professionals working in various web designing services more than happy! In the present context, one should recall that the HTML5 Boilerplate includes all the tools and templates that are required to facilitate multi-screen web apps up and running, almost instantly.

In this move, according to the search engine giant, the templates are optimized for acquiring higher level of performance. Additionally, the responsive layouts facilitate experts working in various web development services to develop multi-device web experiences almost in no time. The starter kit is designed with the perception that a user already has

·         Ruby
·         Node
·         Ruby Sass Gem and
·         Gulp.js
installed in the system.

However, Gulp is an optional element. In fact, it helps developers to make easy use of various features, which include

·         Live Reload
·         HTML minification abd
·         Automatic image optimization, etc.

This Starter Kit – to the relief of the web designing professionals – is assured to run on a wide variety of browsers, ranging from

·         Latest Google Chrome
·         Firefox 30 and 31
·         IE10 and IE11, etc.

Styles incorporated in the Starter Kit are quite similar to those used in Bootstrap and ZURB’s Foundation. Thus, users will find it easier to work with the kit; however, the chance of overlapping cannot be ruled out completely, in this context.

Interestingly, Google has cleared the air that it will not be providing as many UI elements and other components to this upcoming project, as compared to those already existing in Bootstrap or ZURB’s Foundation. A key member of the Google team has already been quoted to have said that their objective is not to compete with Bootstrap on the aspect of UI components. Now, it is to be seen, whether or not, those elements are finally incorporated to the Starter Kit down the timeline.
